Design Studio 2

This was my second design studio at RPI. The professor, Anthony Titus, helped guide me through the entirety of my second semester at RPI. The entire project began with a painting. I took this painting, and extruded walls, based on location and size of specific line work in the painting. I did this two separate times, creating two separate and different models. We were then instructed to design a box, which was to be a combination of the two models. This new model was made entirely of basswood.

Once we completed this first stage of the semester, we made 4 section cuts through our models. We then used these to create floor plates for what later became my 3 story midterm. After the midterm, we then discontinued these houses, and design our own space for a residential building. After the design of the landscape was finished, the we then designed a home to be placed on our sites. This home and site combination became my final.
